WHAT IS THE BIBLE?
- The Bible is a library, a collection of books written at different time and places by people of faith to express that faith.
- The Bible is the INSPIRED WORD OF GOD. Men under the influence of the Holy Spirit wrote the Bible.
- The Bible is organized into Two Testaments.
- The Old Testament (Written before Jesus' birth)
- The New Testament (Written after Jesus' birth)
SHOULD I READ THE BIBLE?
- Read the Bible with Faith, believing that God is still speaking today as He spoke to the people then.
- Read the Bible with a LISTENING attitude, the way we listen to our best friend waiting for them to speak to us.

On Sunday at Mass, the Reader or Lector uses a book called a Lectionary.
- It has parts of the Bible, that is, parts of the Old Testament and New Testament.
